Minecraft for the Wii U Announced

So the big announcement for Monday was actually Minecraft for the Wii U, or Minecraft Wii U Edition. It already has the release date of December 17, 2015, right in time for the holidays.
But there's just a little problem, no one really seems to care. Yeah for some people this is really exciting, but the majority of the gaming community seems to really care less, with some people saying that it's pointless because with the NX rumored to be coming next year, it doesn't really seem that putting Minecraft on the Wii U will do any good, and this is something that should have been done back in 2013. Though all of these things are understandable, and pretty much true, it's nice to see the game finally come to the Wii U, and it'll be another game you can put on your bucket list of Wii U games for this holiday, along with the "amazing" holiday line up Nintendo has already.

Once again, Minecraft for the Wii U will release on December 17, 2015 and will included six game packs, with more being planned for the future, along with off TV play. So what do you think, is Minecraft for the Wii U pointless at this point, or your just happy that it's here now.
